SoLAcc is seeking to fill three Director of Campus Operations vacancies: Director of Campus Operations for the Opelousas and Ville Platte Campuses, Director of Campus Operations for the Crowley, Abbeville and Franklin Campuses, Director of Campus Operations for the New Iberia, St. Martinville and Morgan City Campuses.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Leadership (25%)
▪ Oversee daily operations and administrative support services across all assigned campuses.

Work Habits (20%)
▪ Supervise front office staff at each location, ensuring proper training and performance of subordinate managers and coordinators.
▪ Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk mitigation practices, and emergency response protocols at all assigned locations.
▪ Implement and support emergency management initiatives by serving as the lead administrator for incident response for their assigned campus and ensuring that all subordinate managers are trained in and can respond to incidents and emergencies. Ensure that those issues are resolved appropriately and reported to the relevant offices.
▪ Oversee record-keeping, facilities usage, asset management, receiving processes, and audit compliance to support loss prevention efforts.
▪ Ensure faculty and staff compliance with all South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) policies and procedures at assigned campuses.
▪ Responsible for participating in budget development and adhering to final budgets.

▪ Work independently and fulfill all key responsibilities with minimal direction.
▪ Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Follows safety procedures and uses proper lifting techniques to ensure personal health and safety.
▪ Predictable and reliable attendance is required to provide consistency and continuity of business services.
▪ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Institutional Support (20%)
▪ Assists with the development and implementation of the Advising, Enrollment, and Retention Plan, aligning benchmarks with the strategic goals of the Office of Student Engagement with that region's unit plan.
▪ Collaborate with the Office of Student Engagement on the planning and execution of campus events, student support services, and wellness initiatives.
▪ Act as the liaison to Academic Affairs leadership, supporting the development of Campus Blueprints, identifying programmatic needs, and evaluating space and technology requirements.
▪ Serve on additional committees and advisory boards as assigned.

Team Relations (20%)
▪ Participate in the Campus Directors Council, contributing to the identification and resolution of operational challenges and institutional barriers.
▪ Partner with the Office of Facility Management to manage site staff, ensure timely completion of maintenance work orders, coordinate space usage, and maintain facility standards.

 

Required Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Business, or Public Administration.
Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement.

 

Required Experience: 

Five years of progressive leadership experience in operations, student services or a combination thereof.

 

Required Licenses or Certifications: 

Valid, unencumbered driver's license

 

Preferred Education: 

Master’s degree in Higher Education, Business, or Public Administration.

 

Preferred Experience: 

Five years of progressive experience managing multi-site teams requiring cross-functional collaboration in a higher education environment.
