Duties and Responsibilities: 

Five or more years of demonstrated experience programming software requirements by providing analysis, development, and maintenance in an ERP environment. The candidate must be proficient in Oracle SQL to design and support programming requirements for the institution, the state, and the Federal Government as necessary.

60% Complete Service Requests for analysis and programming as directed by the supervisor based on approved requirements by the Data Manager of each user group (Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable, Finance, Registrar, Institutional Research, and Human Resources.). Task execution is based on project management methodology and full spectrum documentation is required.
10% Work with the user community to clarify programming service request specifications and discuss feedback from the service request responses. Disaster Recovery plan contingencies must be well thought-out and incorporated into the process.
10% Develop and maintain systems analysis and systems programming documentation and procedures for all programming service requests and assigned duties. This information is to be maintained and cataloged in the appropriate repositories.
10% Immediately respond to, triage, mitigate, and resolve issues, concerns, problems, and constituent-based indications that assigned projects are not working as expected.
5% Perform other specified duties as assigned by Senior Programmer Analyst(s), Executive Director of the Office of Information Technology, and/or Chief Information Officer.
5% Keep well-informed of new systems analysis and programming techniques necessary to periodically sharpen and maintain your skillset.



Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields.

Required Experience: Demonstrated experience programming software requirements by providing analysis, development, and maintenance in an ERP environment. The candidate must be proficient in Oracle SQL developer to design and support programming requirements for the institution, the state, and the Federal Government as necessary.

Expertise in Oracle SQL Developer and other relational dataset languages. Develop and support web reports and job scripts. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Required Licenses or Certifications: None

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields.

Preferred Experience: Five or more years of experience in application development in an ERP web-based environment. The employee must be proficient in Oracle SQL Developer.

Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and Cognos. Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner, Microsoft Power BI, Atrium, and Microsoft applications. Working knowledge of Banner FLAC (Faculty Load and Compensation) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
