The Humanities Department seeks applications for a Level 3 adjunct instructor in Forensics/Debate & Communication. This is a 3-year (9-month) appointment. This position may carry a dual responsibility of teaching and up to a 50% coaching load. The primary duties are to serve as the Coach of the Forensics/Debate Team and to teach two foundational undergraduate communication courses. 1) Forensics/Debate Team Coach (up to 50%) – The Coach will lead a dynamic and comprehensive forensics program, which may include individual events, various debate formats, and other relevant competitive activities. The Director of Grand Rapids Operations provides administrative leadership for the Extended and International Operations (EIO) activities in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the surrounding area. The candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Project Management classes as needed. Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice.
