We are seeking a 3-year full-time temporary faculty member (9-month contract) to teach face-to-face in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, Civil Engineering Technology AAS, Construction Management BS and Facilities Management BS. The role involves teaching lectures and/or labs in topics related to construction, facilities management, and virtual design and construction. The faculty member is expected to focus on student success, maintain office hours, and integrate current technology in their teaching. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. |

The Director of Grand Rapids Operations provides administrative leadership for the Extended and International Operations (EIO) activities in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the surrounding area. Responsible for the region's undergraduate and graduate credit degree programming and building relationships with the region's community colleges, businesses, associations, and chamber groups. Work with academic colleges to support faculty recruitment and are responsible for selecting, training, supervising, and mentoring individuals reporting to the position to deliver quality programming and positive student learning experiences. Collaborate with academic and administrative units to achieve strategic planning goals and identify and implement new programs and delivery sites. All regional employees report either directly or indirectly to the Director. The individual is responsible for the region's undergraduate and graduate credit educational programming. It may also be required as a resource in the area for non-credit activities. Reports to the Dean of Extended and International Operations. The anticipated start date for this position is July of 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Master’s degree in business, education, or a related field. Five years of successful, full-time work experience with educational outreach activities in higher education and/or business and industry settings are required. Experience in supervision and strategic planning. |
Adjunct Instructor 1- Project Management

The candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Project Management classes as needed. Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in Project Management or related field OR Any Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Project Management. Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience or professional Project Management experience. |
Adjunct Faculty - Art and Design, High School Dual Enrollment Program

Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. KCAD has dual enrollment partnerships with many high schools throughout Michigan. These high schools offer students the opportunity to take KCAD classes for KCAD college credit. The classes are taught in the high school or in another site in the high school area. Responsibilities for a KCAD adjunct faculty member, for the High School Dual Enrollment program, include syllabus and class preparation, instruction during scheduled course time, providing reasonable availability to students for consultation and assistance with respect to assigned course(s), evaluation of student performance, and communication with KCAD regarding course outcomes and expectations. Courses are to be taught in person at the applicable dual enrollment Michigan location. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. |

Temporary faculty teaching AAS and/or BS level coursework involving Industrial, Electronics and Automation Technology. Typical subject matter includes DC / AC circuit analysis, Industrial Electronics, Motors and Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, Digital Systems, Electronic Devices and Sensors. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: A master’s or higher-level degree in field or closely related field and 3 years of relevant industrial experience. (all courses up through 400 level). A master’s or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor’s or associate’s degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught. (all courses up through 400 level). A bachelor’s degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught; or an associate’s degree in field and any baccalaureate degree and 5 years of relevant industry experience.
