Coordinator of Accreditation in the College of Arts, Sciences and Education – Ferris State University. The College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASE) seeks applications for an Accreditation Coordinator who will coordinate all aspects of national accreditation, including unit accreditation review, state and national pre-visits and visits, and manage the analysis and reporting of data. This position will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administration, and students in the college to develop, implement, and monitor a system of assessment and continuous improvement to ensure programs are meeting learning outcomes and standards appropriate for accreditation and other reporting requirements. CASE currently has two accredited programs, the School of Education and the Social Work program. This position may also assist to improve our readiness for large Federal grants (FIPSE, HRSA, etc.) that require extensive data not typically collected or readily available at Ferris. This position will report directly to the CASE Dean and work closely with dept. chairs/heads that have accredited/specialized programs. The anticipated start date for this position is March 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Educational Leadership, Evaluation and Measurement or closely related field. Three years of experience working with accreditation, assessment, and evaluation. Experience with data aggregation, analysis and measurement techniques. Ability to complete tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness. Ability to work with a variety of systems and software tools to extract data and format into reports and to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to analyze data and present results. Strong written and verbal skills. Experience in Higher Education.

Donor Events Specialist (REVISE/REPOST) Big Rapids, MI 49307
Donor Events Specialist (REVISE/REPOST)– Ferris State University. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Advancement, the Donor Events Specialist at Ferris State University is responsible for implementation of the organization's events and special meetings, including fundraising events, donor relations events, dinner parties, and President’s Box for football and hockey, etc. The Donor Events Specialist will work closely with internal events constituents, including the Vice President for University Advancement and Marketing, Associate Vice Presidents, and Major Gifts and Alumni & Annual Giving teams. This position is responsible for maintaining communication and tactical relationships among events stakeholders including other university departments, corporate and community partners, and event entities. In this role, the Donor Events Specialist will interact with a variety of audiences, including donors, University leadership, Foundation, Alumni and advisory board members, and event sponsors. Facilitates completion of all proper paperwork (e.g., event checklists, expense tracking, etc.) according to business standards. Required: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience with valid driver’s license. Senior Human Resources Generalist (REVISE/REPOST) – Ferris State University. The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for the consistent delivery of a broad range of analytical HR support while administering policies, process, procedures and programs covering several or all of the following areas; employment, immigration, and labor relations. The Senior HR Generalist must display a commitment to providing superior customer service and value working with a diversity constituency. The Senior HR Generalist is expected to be responsive, excel at problem solving, and possesses the ability to multi-task in a high volume department. To be successful in the role the HR Generalist must have demonstrated strength in communicating effectively, timely and professionally. Proficiency with MS Office including Excel and the attentiveness to detail is required. This is not a remote position. This position can be located at either our Big Rapids Campus or our Grand Rapids Campus. If the incumbent is working from our Grand Rapids Campus, they will be required to work in Big Rapids a minimum of 2 days per week. Required: Bachelor’s degree in business with a human resources emphasis or a related field. At least two years of recent work experience in or related to Human Resources activities. Safety Coordinator – Ferris State University. Under the supervision of the Director of Safety, Health, Environmental and Risk Management, develop, implement and maintain safety programs in support of the University’s mission and in compliance with University policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations and standards to ensure the environmental health and safety of students, employees and visitors. Work in coordination with the campus community while providing guidance and consultation to University personnel regarding health and safety issues, such as, but not limited to, laboratory safety and health, hazardous materials, medical surveillance, MiOSHA regulations, lockout/tagout, respiratory protection, fire safety, etc. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field (i.e. public health, chemistry, biology, or physics). Must have or possess the ability to secure any and all applicable certifications that pertain to the duties and responsibilities of this position within 18 months of employment. These will include, but not limited to, HAZMAT certification, MiOSHA Record keeping, incident analysis, and incident command. Work experience directly related to the responsibilities and duties of the position such as experience gained through an internship or other work environment. Experience in the use and operation of health and safety monitoring/testing equipment, including, but not limited to, gas monitors, indoor air quality equipment and personal protective equipment. Successful Associate Dean candidates will have a significant leadership role in graduate-level clinical education with a substantial history of experience in curricular development and innovations, educational assessment, the latest trends in education and experience with accreditation standards.
