Director of Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) (REVISE/REPOST) – Ferris State University. The Director of the Doctorate in Community College Leadership provides leadership and coordination, overseeing all aspects of the program, including curriculum development, faculty recruitment and management, student recruitment and retention, alumni relationships, and program assessment. Under the direction of the Dean, the Director provides academic and administrative leadership to ensure that the program meets its goals and objectives. The Director is responsible for maintaining a strong network of partnerships with community colleges, professional organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure that the program is responsive to the needs of the field. This includes developing and implementing strategies to support the program's growth and development and ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to take on leadership roles in community college settings. The Director also plays a key role in ensuring that the program is of the highest quality and meets accreditation standards. This includes monitoring and evaluating the program's outcomes and making necessary adjustments to ensure that the program meets its objectives. This full-time position is housed on-site on the main campus (Big Rapids, MI). The anticipated start date for this position is July 2023. Director of Student Conduct – Ferris State University. Reporting to the Dean of Student Life and serving on the Student Life Leadership Team, the Director of Student Conduct is responsible for the administration of the University’s student conduct code/system. Responsibilities include reviewing incident reports, meeting with involved parties, investigating incidents, and adjudicating cases according to established policies and procedures. The Director of Student Conduct provides training for University hearing officers/conduct case managers who administer the policies and procedures of the conduct code/system, offers alternative forms of dispute resolution, when appropriate, and provides information and referral regarding legal and regulatory issues in higher education. The Office of Student Conduct is committed to a non-adversarial, educational, learning/development-based, and restorative conduct philosophy. The Office of Student Conduct assists students in understanding their rights and responsibilities as community members and serves as a liaison to faculty, staff, and community members in response to conduct matters. This position also collaborates with other campus departments to provide support with behavioral intervention strategies to assist students in their overall well-being and academic success. Required: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Five years of student development/student affairs experience working in a college or university setting. Two years of full-time experience adjudicating student conduct incidents in an educational setting. Demonstrated experience in collaborating effectively and facilitating positive working relationships with students, parents, administrators, faculty, and staff, in a university setting. Experience managing complex processes, tasks, and maintaining accurate records. Experience developing and conveying effective communication.

This position involves significant travel to various locations within the region, including attending meetings, events, and other activities related to off-campus operations. Adjunct Faculty - Art and Design, High School Dual Enrollment Program – Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD). KCAD in Grand Rapids, MI prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. KCAD has dual enrollment partnerships with many high schools throughout Michigan. These high schools offer students the opportunity to take KCAD classes for KCAD college credit. The classes are taught in the high school or in another site in the high school area. Responsibilities for a KCAD adjunct faculty member, for the High School Dual Enrollment program, include syllabus and class preparation, instruction during scheduled course time, providing reasonable availability to students for consultation and assistance with respect to assigned course(s), and evaluation of student performance. Required: K-12 teacher certification. Minimum of one year teaching art or design at the applicable dual enrollment location; evidence of student success in the high school art or design classroom; evidence of successful professional practice (teaching and/or in art and design).
