Adjunct Instructor - Accountancy	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Teach undergraduate accounting courses. Faculty are expected to assess student learning outcomes for their courses and actively participate in program assessment activities under the guidance of tenured/tenure-track faculty. The anticipated need is for adjunct instructors to teach face-to-face courses on the Big Rapids campus, but online course offerings may also be available periodically. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2026 at the earliest and January of 2027 at the latest. Assistant Professor of Social Work	Multiple Locations
The College of Arts, Sciences and Education at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan seeks a diverse group of outstanding applicants for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position to teach online in our MSW program and in person in the BSW program at our Big Rapids and Traverse City campuses. The role includes curriculum development, student advising, participation in Department, College, and University academic-related activities. Teaching will include undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates are expected to foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, faculty are expected to be student-oriented, advise, and integrate current technology into the learning environment. Additionally, faculty will participate in collaborative efforts to foster curricular efforts, participate in assessment of student learning, and further develop programmatic enhancement. Specifically, we expect the candidate to be willing to engage students outside the classroom, support and expand our existing academic initiatives, and be willing to mentor students beyond a traditional academic advising role. In support of teaching, candidates will engage in scholarly/professional activities and participate in department, college, and university committees. Off-campus and online teaching may be required. Courses are to be taught online or in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris location. Student Service Rep 4	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Independently perform/coordinate responsible support functions which may focus on a specialized area(s) of student services, such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, etc. Communicate and perform duties in a manner that provide excellent service and is responsive to customer needs. Serve as a 'lead worker’ to assist and answer questions for lower level employees. This is a CTA bargaining unit position. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of full-time related work experience equals one year of education. Two years of office experience. Experience in customer service and familiarity with state or federal regulations and banking or financial transactions. May require experience in network or software jobs and working with computer technical personnel to resolve programming difficulties.
Desktop Support Technician 2	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Provide service and support to university-owned, faculty, staff, and student privately-owned computing devices while providing a fresh perspective of support strategies and troubleshooting methods. Utilize different skill sets to diagnose hardware and software related problems on a variety of devices. Ensure that all repair work is performed safely and accurately to improve the longevity and usability of the equipment for the benefit of the university. Provide additional support to the Walk-Up and Desktop areas as needed. Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalency. A valid driver’s license. CompTIA A+ certification required within 90 days of employment. Three years of work experience in a computer-related support position.

The School of Automotive and Heavy Equipment invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and teaching courses in the Associate in Applied Science Automotive Service Technology Program and in the Bachelor of Science Automotive Engineering Technology Program, in lecture and lab formats. This position requires utilizing a variety of methods and techniques to assure student attainment of course outcomes and the utilization of assessment methods to monitor success. Other duties may include the delivery of courses off campus, development and delivery of on-line courses, serving on department, school, and college committees, and student advising. The focus of the courses being taught would be towards the eight ASE certification areas. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. A master's degree in education or a related field must be secured as a condition for tenure. Minimum of five years teaching experience to include an award of tenure for rank of Associate Professor. The anticipated start date of this position is January of 2026 at the earliest and August of 2026 at the latest.
