The Architecture and Facility Management Department invites applicants for a 9-month tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate professor level starting August 2025. The department is seeking colleagues who are disciplined, creative, collegial and who bring engagement and joy to the classroom. The successful applicant will hold a graduate degree in architecture or a closely related field and will have applicable work experience in architectural practice. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience. In addition to a background in practice, applicants should have a working knowledge of and commitment to sustainable design and sustainable systems. Preference will be given to candidates who show an interest in and aptitude for marketing an academic program through online advertising campaigns, social media, high school and community college visits, summer camps, or other appropriate channels. Applicants with specific expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: experience with service learning and/or community outreach projects; introductory design; structural systems; representation; Revit, Rhino, the Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other current software. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025 at the earliest and January 2026 at the latest. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses. The candidate(s) selected to the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: Master's degree in field: acceptable options include an accredited M.Arch, or an accredited B.Arch degree plus post-professional master's degree in a related field such as design, sustainability, or building systems. The Department of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Primary responsibilities include: preparing and delivering courses utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met; and delivering courses in both a classroom and an on-line format. Additionally, advising students, recruiting students, developing industry relationships, developing curriculum, and serving on various committees within the department, college and the university. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice

This is a tenure-track, 12-month position for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice in the Pharmacy Practice Department at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. We encourage individuals to apply who have experience in ambulatory care practice settings and a strong commitment to student-centered education and the teacher/scholar model. Teaching responsibilities will include core courses in pharmacy practice skills, therapeutics, self-care, and pharmaceutical calculations at both the Big Rapids and Grand Rapids campuses. Candidates will also be expected to provide academic support and coordinate team-taught courses. Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to engage in ambulatory clinical practice at an established practice site. Engagement in individual or collaborative research projects, as well as scholarship involving student participation, will complement teaching responsibilities. Other duties will include contributing to the department, college, university, and profession through participation on committees, as well as providing professional advice, mentoring, and preceptorship to students. Ongoing professional development will also be expected. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. We encourage individuals with a strong commitment to student-centered education and the teacher/scholar model to apply. Teaching responsibilities will include core courses in pharmacy administration at both the Big Rapids and Grand Rapids campuses. Candidates will also be expected to provide academic support and coordinate team-taught courses. Additionally, the successful candidate may teach an elective course in their area of expertise. Engagement in individual or collaborative research projects, as well as scholarship involving student participation, will complement teaching responsibilities. Evidence of research/scholarship related to area of specialty. Candidates with associate or full professor levels must demonstrate records of excellence in scholarship, including extramural fund experience and a principal investigator role in the research. Full professor level candidates must be tenured. Associate professor level candidates must be tenured or eligible for tenure. Assistant professor-level candidates are expected to demonstrate potential for establishing independent research or collaborative research. |
Assistant Professor - Digital Animation and Game Design

Ferris State University’s School of Digital Media invites applications for a Tenure-track faculty position in the Digital Animation and Game Design Program. The School of Digital Media (SDM) at Ferris State offers bachelor’s degree programs that provide applied learning experiences for students through small class sizes, and project-oriented coursework using industry standard software. This position is based on the campus of Ferris Grand Rapids, but will require instruction in Big Rapids, and potentially online, as well. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in related field. Three years of professional experience animating in Maya for game development and/or computer animation. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills needed to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues. |
