| Summary of Position: |
The Housing Summer Assistant is a paraprofessional staff member within the Office of Housing and Residence Life. This position works to prepare residential buildings for occupancy prior to the start of the fall academic year. |
|
| Position Requirements: |
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to role model and promote the University’s mission and vision.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs and remain on their feet for extended periods of time.
- This position is a 3-month position, running from May to August with dates that are negotiable.
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. |

| Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare residential buildings for occupancy prior to the start of the academic year.
- Complete Room Condition Reports (RCRs).
- Ensure rooms contain the correct furniture and are properly set up.
- Verify that all rooms have functioning keys.
- Work within closed residence halls across campus.
- Maintain a professional presence while working in student residential spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
