Advertised Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 Salary commensurate with education, experiences and other requirements. Comprehensive benefit package (health care, vacation, etc.)

Summary of Position: The College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASE) seeks applications for an Accreditation Specialist who will coordinate all aspects of national accreditation, including unit accreditation review, state and national pre-visits and visits, and manage the analysis and reporting of data. This position will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administration, and students in the college to develop, implement, and monitor a system of assessment and continuous improvement to ensure programs are meeting learning outcomes and standards appropriate for accreditation and other reporting requirements. CASE currently has two accredited programs, the School of Education and the Social Work program.
This position may also assist to improve our readiness for large Federal grants (FIPSE, HRSA, etc.) that require extensive data not typically collected or readily available at Ferris.

This position will report directly to the CASE Dean and work closely with dept. chairs/heads that have accredited/specialized programs.

The anticipated start date for this position is December 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.
 
Position Type: Staff  
Required Education: Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Educational Leadership, Healthcare, Evaluation and Measurement or closely related field.  
Required Work Experience: Two years of experience working with accreditation, assessment, and evaluation.

Experience with data aggregation, analysis and measurement techniques.

Ability to complete tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.

Ability to work with a variety of systems and software tools to extract data and format into reports and to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to analyze data and present results.

Strong written and verbal skills.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Doctorate in Education, Social Work, Educational Leadership, Evaluation and Measurement or closely related field..
Experience working with a Department of Education
Experience working with CAEP, AAQEP, TEAC, NCATE or CSWE accreditation.
Experience working with the Michigan Department of Education and/or CSWE.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding accreditation requirements and processes and effectively communicate to stakeholders.

Work with internal and external constituents to further develop and enhance partnerships by sharing data and best practices.

Liaise with internal and external audiences concerning the analyses of data.

Work with administration, departments, and faculty to establish a system of assessment and continuous improvement to meet accreditation standards.

Coordinate the process of generating reports for accreditation and other purposes.

Interpret, analyze and summarize data.

Perform queries and create reports.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive collection process to facilitate assessment reports, program review documents, evidence data for use in decision-making, institutional and specialized accreditation activities and compliance reporting.

Support accreditation off-site and on-site visits.

Manage reports and evidence in AIMS to support program and institutional accreditation.

Stay abreast of current state and national trends related to accreditation and best practices.

Seek professional development opportunities, such as attending state and national conferences.

Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Serve on college and university committees, as assigned.

Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
