Advertised Salary: $58,000 - $65,000. Salary commensurate with education, experiences and other requirements. Comprehensive benefit package (health care, vacation, etc.)

Summary of Position: 9-month tenure-track faculty position, which includes teaching and related responsibilities in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures; providing instruction, and preparing, administering, and grading examinations; advising students on related academic matters; engaging in scholarly activities and professional development; and serving on departmental and faculty committees to promote curriculum development within the College of Health Professions. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. However, these are a estimated dates and can be revised if needed.

Required Education: Graduate from an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or health related field. Must earn MS degree within 3 years of hire.  
Required Work Experience: 3 years of clinical experience in direct patient care.  
Required Licenses and Certifications: -American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB), and Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN).

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Five or more years of clinical experience in direct patient care, previous teaching experience, and a Master's degree.  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: -Teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
-Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
-Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment.
-Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
