  • Meet all scheduled classes promptly and communicate any schedule changes through appropriate college channels

Photography, Technology & Industry Expertise:

  • Incorporate Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom, into instructional activities
  • Apply knowledge of DSLR and mirrorless camera workflows to classroom and lab instruction
  • Remain current with photography industry trends, software, equipment, and emerging technologies
  • Incorporate relevant studio, portrait, commercial, and other professional photography practices into the student learning experience

Student Learning & Assessment:

  • Utilize established learning outcomes and assessment measures to evaluate student achievement
  • Monitor and accurately record student progress
  • Provide regular, timely, and constructive feedback to support student learning
  • Participate in instructional evaluation processes
  • Continuously improve course content, instructional delivery, and assessment strategies based on student needs, feedback, and evolving industry practices

Collaboration & Professional Engagement:

  • Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to support the continued development of CWI’s Digital Photography program
  • Read, understand, and adhere to the Business Letter of Teaching Appointment and Faculty Expectations
  • Maintain accurate instructional and student records and meet established college deadlines
  • Contribute to team and program goals through additional related responsibilities as assigned

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • This adjunct opportunity is anticipated to begin in Spring 2027
  • Courses will be taught at CWI’s Canyon County Campus, where the Digital Photography program is currently located
  • Teaching assignments may be scheduled Monday through Friday during the day or evening, or on Saturdays
  • Course assignments and schedules are based on departmental and enrollment needs
  • Successful candidates must reside in Idaho by their first day of employment with CWI

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Three (3) years of full-time professional experience in digital photography
  • Strong knowledge of digital camera systems, composition, lighting, and post-processing techniques
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Experience with studio lighting, portrait photography, and/or commercial photography techniques
