Are you detailoriented, analytical, and passionate about supporting student success? The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking an Evaluator to support the Registrar’s Office through the evaluation of graduation requirements, transfer credit, and prior learning credit while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student academic records. 

In this role, you’ll work closely with students, advisors, faculty, and enrollment services teams to help students understand their academic progress and successfully achieve their educational goals.

Degree Evaluation & Graduation Support: 

  • Evaluate student academic records to determine degree progress based on catalog requirements and academic regulations 

  • Identify and communicate remaining coursework needed for degree completion 

  • Develop and maintain processes to identify students nearing graduation 

  • Review and clear students for graduation and support graduation processing activities 

  • Monitor student progress and provide accurate information regarding graduation requirements 

Transfer Credit & Prior Learning Assessment: 

  • Review official transcripts to determine transferability and course equivalencies 

  • Evaluate prior learning credit using established institutional procedures 

  • Respond accurately to student, faculty, and staff inquiries regarding transfer credit and degree applicability 

  • Ensure transfer and prior learning evaluations are completed accurately and consistently 

Student Records & Data Integrity: 

  • Audit student program and academic data to ensure accuracy and compliance with institutional standards 

  • Maintain the integrity of student records within the student information system (SIS) 

  • Ensure compliance with college policies, enrollment procedures, and academic regulations 

  • Support accurate enrollment reporting and records management practices 

Registrar Operations & Student Support: 

  • Assist with a variety of Registrar functions, including registration support, grade changes, and commencement planning 

  • Partner with Admissions, One Stop, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Advising, Student Affairs, and faculty to support student success 

  • Provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, and staff while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism 

  • Maintain strong working relationships across the college to support collaborative problem solving 

Reporting, Compliance & Continuous Improvement: 

  • Gather, analyze, and prepare reports related to student progress, completion, and enrollment data 

  • Maintain expert knowledge of applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements 

  • Stay informed on federal, state, and institutional policies impacting student records and academic evaluations 

  • Contribute to the development of efficient, technologydriven processes that support data quality and operational effectiveness 

  • Participate in Agile project work to help prioritize and improve Registrar operations and services 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Experience in a similar role within higher education or a comparable environment 

  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately 

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 

  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and academic requirements accurately 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse students, faculty, and staff 

 

Additional Instructions For Applicants: 

Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
