Here are some of the Essential Functions:
Course Development & Instructional Design
- Collaborate with instructors to develop and refine courses, including videos and interactive learning materials.
- Lead instructional module design and provide technical guidance.
Technology Integration & Optimization
- Test and implement new technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Develop and recommend solutions for optimizing Blackboard and other classroom technologies.
Training & Professional Development
- Design and facilitate instructional courses and professional development workshops for faculty and staff.
Quality Assurance & Evaluation
- Conduct course quality checks and reviews.
- Support the administration of student end-of-course surveys.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work with faculty and administration to identify needs and recommend technical improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Some of the minimums we are looking for are:
• 4–5 years of instructional design experience
• Experience with online learning as a student or instructor
• Expertise in adult learning principles, online course development, and instructional design
• Proficiency in courseware platforms such as Blackboard or Moodle
• Experience with video production and e-learning tools (e.g., SnagIt, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate)
• Strong project management, organizational, and presentation skills (online and in-person)
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with SCORM, HTML, Section 508 compliance, and Web 2.0 technologies (preferred)
