 What you’ll do:

  • Lead and inspire a team of supervisors to ensure they’re focused on achieving operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team, encouraging feedback and implementing best practices.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and ensure operational efficiency across the organization.
  • Make safety your number one priority and ensure everyone's working in a safe environment.
  • Manage operational budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and optimising resource allocation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalations and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner.

 Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience leading blue-collar teams
  • An entrepreneurial mindset
  • Waste Management or similar industry experience  
  • Computer skills - proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Teamwork – work across multiple departments and build relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to resolve problems effectively and effectively
  • Proven ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines
