About the role:
Based at our St Marys depot, we are seeking an experienced Team Leader/Forklift Operator to:
- Perform loading and unloading of packaged waste vehicles
- Decant, clean, repackage, store and dispose of packaged waste
- Sample and treat packaged waste as directed and/or required
- Complete all records and paperwork correctly, as directed and required by CWY, law & regulators
- Ensure safe work practices and adherence to policies and procedures including Absolutes and Lifesaving rules as well as reporting of unsafe practices and potential and actual incidents
- Undertake any other duties, accountabilities and responsibilities as directed
- Supervise and assist in the training of all levels of Packaged Waste Operators and Yard Hand
- Prepare and document waste products to be removed from site
- Maintain site gardens, lawns and roads as required
- Undertake daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
- Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm + overtime available
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience
- Current Forklift licence with a minimum of 12 months experience
- Current driver’s licence Class C
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Zero Harm Safety mindset
- Good attitude, reliable and willing to learn
- Willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
