Merchandiser – Dunedin (32 hours per week) 

Your Impact 

As a Merchandiser in our Alcohol & Non- alcohol NZ team, you will play a key role in bringing our portfolio to life across Dunedin and Mosgiel. You’ll ensure our products are beautifully presented, fully stocked and compliant with planograms, while helping us deliver exceptional in-store execution across both grocery and traditional liquor. 
Working closely with our Hybrid ASM, you’ll be the friendly face of Asahi at store level – building strong relationships, supporting tastings and activations, and ensuring customers experience our brands at their best. 

This is a highly visible, hands-on role where your energy, organisation and ability to engage with people will make a noticeable daily impact. 

Key Accountabilities 

• Manage merchandising standards across Dunedin Central and Mosgiel according to store-ranging requirements, sales initiatives and promotional plans. 

• Complete stock fills, rotation, date checks, and maintain fully stocked fridges, chillers and floor displays . 

• Execute relays and ensure Asahi fridges/chillers meet Independent Liquor planogram standard with correct pricing, POS and promotional material displayed . 

• Support new product launches, tastings and sampling activity, engaging confidently with customers – including high-traffic student periods. 

• Maintain professional, positive relationships with key store staff and decision-makers. 

• Communicate promotions, specials and new product information to stores and resolve service issues where required. 

• Collaborate with the Dunedin sales team (ASM, Non-Alc Rep, On-Prem BDE) to ensure consistent execution across the territory. 

• Uphold all EHS requirements, follow safe work practices and support continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental standards. 

About You 

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re someone who brings enthusiasm, organisation and confidence to every store visit. We’re looking for someone who has: 

• Experience in merchandising (FMCG experience highly preferred). 

• A friendly, outgoing personality — someone who enjoys engaging with people and is comfortable running tastings and drawing attention to our products. 

• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently across a structured route. 

• A reliable personal vehicle and a current driver’s licence. 

• Good presentation and professionalism when representing our brands. 

• The ability to perform manual handling tasks.
