Refinery Manager

About Us

Join us at Cleanaway and contribute to making a sustainable future possible, together.

We transform waste into resources and renewable energy.  When you start to think of waste as a resource, it opens a world of possibilities.

As a high growth, ASX listed organisation with over 7500 employees, our goal is to be recognised by our customers as the most innovative and sustainable waste management company with industry leading HSE performance.  We are Australia’s largest company in this sector, providing essential services to millions of customers and communities nationally.

Cleanaway’s Narangba facility is an industry-leading used lubricating oil re-refining facility located 30 minutes north of Brisbane. The facility recycles and processes more than 25ML annually of used lubricating oil, reintroducing this oil back into circulation as a valuable resource. The facility exemplifies the essence of circularity, effectively minimising Australia's dependence on virgin crude oil.

Their primary responsibility is to provide essential guidance to our operational staff, ensuring seamless technical oversight throughout the entirety of the process. This role is crucial in cultivating a culture of ownership and accountability among our operations and maintenance teams, actively fostering engagement and consultation to drive towards the achievement of production goals while maintaining stringent safety standards.

Beyond these fundamental duties, the Refinery Operations Manager also plays a key role in ensuring the availability of skilled labour and optimising operations to meet our internal production targets. Additionally, they are entrusted with the development and maintenance of an effective management framework for our refinery's maintenance strategy and budget.

Moreover, the Refinery Operations Manager possesses comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Standards relevant to our industry, serving as a vital resource in ensuring adherence to compliance regulations. Joining our team in this capacity means taking on a multifaceted role that is integral to the success and efficiency of our operations.
