Your Impact

 

As the Manager – Innovation Project Support, you’ll play a critical role in enabling how Asahi develops and delivers its innovation pipeline across Alcohol and Non-Alcohol categories. You’ll be the engine room behind our Stage & Gate process, ensuring the right information, decisions and governance come together to move projects forward.

 

You will drive best practice in innovation project management, maintain and uplift our Stage & Gate systems and capability, and support the consistency, accuracy and effectiveness of innovation processes across the business. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role that underpins one of Asahi’s most important growth engines.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of monthly Stage & Gate forums including agenda development, input collation, document preparation and decision capture
  • Manage, maintain and enhance Stage & Gate system capability, including upgrades, formatting, troubleshooting and user support across Marketing, Category, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and Commercial
  • Liaise with the Stage & Gate software provider to ensure stable performance, timely issue resolution and continuous improvement
  • Develop and update Stage & Gate documentation, templates and training materials in line with audit requirements and best practice
  • Lead annual training and onboarding programs, ensuring new starters and key stakeholders are confident in system usage and process expectations
  • Track and collate innovation pipeline reporting including financials, KPIs, timelines and guardrails to support accurate pipeline management
  • Support continuous improvement of innovation processes, reporting rhythms and capability development across Alc and Non-Alc teams
  • Partner with Innovation, Marketing, Finance and cross-functional teams to align on standards, ensure process consistency and uplift innovation discipline

 

About You

 

  • Experience in a large, matrixed FMCG organisation with strong understanding of cross-functional ways of working
  • Strong project and process management skillset with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and quality in documentation, reporting and process governance
  • Strong analytical capability with confidence working with financials, KPIs and structured reporting
  • Experience with Stage & Gate software platforms or innovation project management systems (advantageous)
  • Collaborative communicator who builds trust, drives alignment and can influence engagement across diverse teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a strong sense of ownership and delivery
  • Tertiary qualified with 5+ years of relevant experience in innovation, commercial, marketing, sales or project delivery
