Your Impact

We are looking for a driven and people focused Inside Sales Team Leader to lead the Inside Sales team within the CSC across all Asahi Beverages customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for an internal candidate ready to step into their first leadership role, taking ownership of team performance, monthly and quarterly campaigns, commercial targets and the delivery of our AsahiONLINE “Silent Salesperson” capability.

 

In this role, you will manage a team of approximately 7 Customer Success Specialists, build sales capability, shape strategy and influence ways of working across Retail and On Premise. You will play a key role in delivering our Inside Sales growth goals including distribution, NPD sell in and customer base expansion while coaching your team to drive exceptional customer outcomes.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

 

Business Planning and Execution

  • Achieve sales budgets and targets.
  • Monitor execution dashboards, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate across the business on change initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Build and develop capability through best practice service call techniques.
  • Engage Customer Success Specialists to drive initiatives and improvement.

 

Team Leadership and Capability Development

  • Drive a strong focus on people, capability and performance.
  • Coach and challenge the team in up sell and cross sell, campaign execution and customer service with weekly coaching and monthly one on one sessions.
  • Communicate operational issues and insights to maximise performance.
  • Partner with capability teams to deliver training and development plans.
  • Foster a high performance, learning focused team culture.

 

Inside Sales Processes and Rhythms

  • Translate commercial plans into clear priorities, planning and target setting.
  • Ensure effective communication of activation metrics and CRM updates.
  • Provide insights to improve execution and activation in market.

 

Sales Processes, Tools and Reporting

  • Partner with Sales Manager Inside Sales and Sales Operations to improve tools, systems and reporting.
  • Support the implementation of sales processes, CRM inputs, dashboards and productivity measures.
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancement of sales routines and planning.

 

Customer Relationship Management

  • Support customer negotiation and persuasive selling to achieve strong outcomes.
  • Drive shared accountability across sales teams.
  • Provide coverage for agent territories when required.

 

Execution

  • Manage outbound call campaigns and CSS call plans ensuring effective coverage.
  • Partner with Trade Marketing to deliver campaigns, deals and NPD execution.
  • Coach the team in the Asahi Way of Selling.
  • Participate in field rhythms such as GTMR and sales briefings when required.

 

 

About You

  • Experience in sales, inside sales, customer success or commercial roles in FMCG or similar environments.
  • Strong coaching capability and passion for developing people.
  • Ability to interpret commercial plans and translate priorities into execution.
  • Strong planning, organisation and operational rhythm management.
  • Confidence using CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce.
  • Strong influencing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to embed better ways of working.
  • A customer first approach with persuasive selling strengths.
  • Motivation and readiness to step into leadership and build a high performing team.
