The Opportunity

The Student Recruitment Support team is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Student Recruitment Support Officer to play a key role in supporting the University’s recruitment and admissions objectives and delivering a high-quality prospective student experience. In this pivotal role, you will provide specialist operational support and advice across student recruitment and admissions activities, managing complex and high-impact enquiries and exercising sound judgement in resolving non-routine matters.

A key component of the role is the coordination of projects, admissions activities and operational initiatives that support student recruitment and admissions outcomes. You will be expected to take ownership of assigned activities, coordinate stakeholders and timelines, manage competing priorities, identify and resolve issues, and ensure activities are delivered effectively and within required timeframes.

Beyond day-to-day enquiry management, you will identify recurring issues, service gaps and opportunities for improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of improved processes and guidance. You will also support quality assurance and operational reporting activities, share specialist knowledge and provide guidance to team members on complex matters.

To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in student recruitment, tertiary admissions or a related higher education environment, together with recent experience coordinating projects, admissions activities or operational initiatives. You will have strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex work independently, balance competing priorities and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

You will bring initiative, sound judgement and a continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to identify emerging issues, develop practical solutions and contribute to improvements in service delivery and the prospective student journey.
