What You'll Lead
As Group Manager – Network, Storage and Data Centres, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the university's enterprise network, storage platforms, and data centre environments within the Infrastructure Platforms team at Clayton. Your accountability spans a skilled technical team, vendor relationships, and the reliability of services that support hundreds of thousands of users.
- Set the strategic direction for network, storage, and data centre platforms, aligning investment and roadmaps with university priorities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of infrastructure engineers and specialists
- Govern platform performance, availability, and risk, ensuring services meet agreed standards across the Monash campus network
- Drive modernisation programs, including hybrid cloud integration and data centre optimisation initiatives
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated leadership of enterprise-scale network, storage, or data centre operations in a complex organisation
- Proven experience managing technical teams through significant infrastructure transformation programs
- Strong understanding of modern networking principles, storage architectures, and data centre operations
- Experience managing vendor contracts, budgets, and service delivery within a governance framework
- Ability to translate technical strategy for senior stakeholders outside the IT function
- Familiarity with large, distributed campus or multi-site environments, consistent with the scale of a Group of Eight university
