The Opportunity
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence and a knack for navigating complex quality landscapes? Monash University is looking for a Manager, Operations and Quality to drive world-class standards across our cutting-edge research infrastructure.
In this pivotal role, you won’t just be managing a system; you’ll be driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. From evolving our Quality Management System (QMS) to harnessing AI-enabled digital tools, you will ensure our research infrastructure operations remain at the forefront of global compliance and innovation.

What You’ll Bring
We are looking for an experienced manager who is a thoughtful problem-solver, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable solutions. You will have:
- Digital savvy: A proven ability to leverage digital automation and business systems to drive efficiency.
- Influence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a diverse stakeholder landscape and lead major projects to success.
- Vision: The ability to conceptualise high-level policies while maintaining a sharp eye on the finer details of organisational risk.
- Expertise: Knowledge of ISO9001 or similar standards within research or operational settings is desirable but not required; however, a willingness to undertake relevant certification after commencement is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- QMS Stewardship: Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the QMS using advanced digital tools.
- Audit Management: Manage the Quality Audit program, coordinating both internal and external assurance activities.
- Data-Driven Insights: Conduct research and analysis to support platform management reviews and strategic decision-making.
- Governance and Partnership: Lead relevant committees and maintain strong relationships with internal business units and external service providers.
