Finance Operations underpins Monash’s research, teaching and operations through precise, efficient, and service-driven support. We manage more than 100,000 purchase orders and invoices annually, process payments for 18,000+ vendors, oversee non-student income with real-time financial insights, and have strong governance and stewardship of Monash financial systems.

The Opportunity

The Senior Receivable Services Officer will provide expert advice to a range of stakeholders and will perform various financial transactions and data analysis. The Senior Receivable Services Officer plays an important role in enabling the Payment and Receivable Services team to deliver its range of specialist services to clients.

The Senior Receivable Services Officer will provide front-line services of accounts receivable, banking and revenue handling, raising invoices, managing refunds and cash allocation. The role will provide input and maintenance of data, records and reports in particular to the Taxation and Audit representative. The Senior Receivable Services Officer will provide timely advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders in accordance with best practice guidelines, procedures and protocols. 

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in finance/accounting or other relevant discipline with significant relevant experience, skills and expertise. Demonstrated analytical skills and experience in front-line customer service are required for success in this role. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, demonstrated computer literacy and the ability to deliver effective processes and systems.
