The Opportunity

An exciting internal opportunity has arisen to step into a key leadership role within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University.

As the Undergraduate Courses Manager, you will lead the operational delivery and continuous improvement of the School’s undergraduate portfolio. This is a critical role that sits at the intersection of education strategy, student experience, and administrative excellence.

Working closely with academic leaders and central teams, you will ensure the effective delivery of coursework programs while driving improvements across processes, systems, and policy implementation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing staff member looking to step up into a broader leadership role, expand their exposure to Faculty-level education strategy, and deepen their impact within the student lifecycle.

You will:

  • Lead the end-to-end management of undergraduate courses and associated administration
  • Provide expert advice on course and student administration policies and processes
  • Oversee admissions, enrolments, progression, and completions
  • Analyse course and student data to support planning and decision-making
  • Lead and develop a small team, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture
  • Support key education and promotional activities including Open Day and Orientation

This role plays a central part in delivering a high-quality student experience and supporting the School’s strategic education priorities.

About You

You are an experienced higher education professional who understands the complexities of coursework administration and is ready to take on greater responsibility.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in student and/or program administration within Monash or a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of university policies, processes, and systems across the student lifecycle
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, or coordinate staff and services
  • Confidence in providing advice to academic stakeholders and navigating complex issues
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills both verbal and oral that allow you to work with key stakeholders, both staff and students
  • Strong time management, planning and prioritisation skills
  • Confidence in working with industry stakeholders
  • Managing and planning of key events and meetings in the undergraduate space
  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
