The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate Research Officer to join the Dietary Innovations in GI research team and support the delivery of high-quality dietary intervention studies. As part of the clinical trial team, you will assist with study setup and conduct, working closely with investigators, gastroenterologists, research dietitians and study coordinators. This role includes coordinating study diets, patient recruitment, trial procedures and study visits, providing the chance to contribute to research that informs nutrition and health outcomes.
The Research Officer will support dietary intervention trials by managing data, processing samples, preparing documentation and assisting with ethics submissions. You will help ensure smooth trial operations while maintaining compliance with protocols and ethical guidelines. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
We are seeking someone with a tertiary or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as dietetics or possess extensive experience and skills in research or clinical trial administration. The role requires demonstrated analytical, organisational and project management capabilities, along with proficiency in research software, including dietary analysis programs such as FoodWorks. Experience in participant recruitment, coordination and dietary or nutrition intervention trials is also highly desirable.
