About the Role:
As part of Monash’s bold strategic agenda, the newly created role of Vice-President (Innovation and Commercialisation) will lead Monash Innovation - accelerating the commercialisation of world-class research and cultivating a thriving entrepreneurial culture across our global network.
With a portfolio valued at around $40 million and a pre-seed fund growing up to $25 million, Monash is primed to scale its innovation ecosystem. The Vice-President (Innovation and Commercialisation) will report to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) and Senior Vice-President, and spearhead institution-wide strategies to drive innovation and commercialisation growth.
Key priorities include expanding Monash Investment Holdings, and forging strategic partnerships with industry, government, and investors. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that researchers are empowered to bring their discoveries to market, driving real-world change through breakthrough innovation. As part of the portfolio’s leadership team, you’ll help shape and deliver an ambitious research agenda that positions Monash at the forefront of global enterprise.

You are a visionary and dynamic leader with deep sector knowledge and capabilities and a proven track record leading high performing teams. With global reach, you will have deep networks in the innovation eco-system and possess exceptional strategic, financial and people leadership capabilities.
