Our Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation (CDCO) is one of 5 research themes within the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS). Established in 2003, the CDCO has supported numerous academic and commercial drug discovery programs to inform the design and progression of high-quality drug candidates suitable for clinical development. With successful collaborations in place between universities, medical research institutes and commercial organisations, and multiple research projects underway, we are now seeking your strong technical skills and experience in Pharmaceutical Science to join the team as a Senior Research Officer.
Applications are sought for a Senior Research Officer in the Chemistry-Analytical Section of the CDCO, to work within a flexible team in a state-of-the-art LCMS facility and be responsible for the evaluation of the pharmaceutical characteristics of a range of potential new drug candidates and their quantification in various biological matrices by quantitative LCMS/MS methods. This role will include examination of key physicochemical properties using a range of analytical instrumentation and standard protocols, developing formulations to support in vivo studies, biological matrix sample preparation for quantitative analysis and the conduct of in vitro assays using standard protocols.
