The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Research Fellow (Level B) to join an exciting research-only academic position in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. This position supports an Australian Research Council Linkage Project focused on experimental fluid mechanics techniques for inhaled drug delivery. The position reports directly to the Chief Investigator.

As a Level B Senior Research Fellow, you will play a critical role in advancing the research objectives of the project, undertaking directed research in the field of experimental fluid mechanics. The position requires independent and team-based research efforts aligned with the project’s goals. You will be expected to grow your expertise in the specific field of research and contribute to the success of this interdisciplinary international research initiative.

This is a research-only position, meaning the focus will be on the successful execution of grant-driven research rather than independent research, teaching, or academic tenure-track responsibilities. Applicants should be aware that this role is project-directed, and the expectation is to work closely within the scope of the funded research.

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in experimental fluid mechanics, laser diagnostics and aerosol measurement who are passionate about contributing to innovative, high-impact research. If you are eager to be part of a dynamic and collaborative international team, we encourage you to apply.
