At the Monash Centre for Consciousness and Contemplative Studies (M3CS) our mission is to conduct cutting-edge research across humanities, psychology, medicine, and neuroscience. We aim to deliver innovative, experiential, and evidence-based education on mindfulness, contemplative practices, and perennial wisdom, engaging extensively with contemplative communities and partner organisations.
The Research Fellow Opportunity
In this position, you will conduct independent and team research, focusing on behavioural science, neuroscience, and computational psychiatry. Responsibilities include computational modelling, designing and conducting experiments, performing statistical analysis, collaborating on conceptual analysis and experimental design, and publishing research articles.
About You
You hold a doctoral qualification, with a background in Philosophy, Biology, or Neuroscience, and have strong skills in statistical analysis (e.g., Bayesian methods, mixed linear models), and extensive experience and skills in computational modelling (in particular active inference/reinforcement learning). You have experience with manuscript and research proposal preparation, and have a solid publication record relative to your career stage, and a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
