The Opportunity

Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) function for the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC). In this exciting role you will enable the delivery of a wide range of national investments into Australia’s research system. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders across Universities, Publicly Funded Research Agencies and Government Departments. With the core purpose of the role being to ensure that  ARDC’s initiatives and activities are being delivered, tracked and managed using best practice.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the implementation of the ARDC Project Management Framework which includes designing, managing and implementing change management strategies and providing specialist, expert advice and reports for a range of internal stakeholders. 

This role is suited to a highly motivated individual with significant demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Project Management Frameworks and establishing Project Management functions within an organisation. The successful candidate will need to have  highly-developed relationship management and consulting skills, including the ability to interact, influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders within and outside the ARDC.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires postgraduate qualifications and extensive, relevant experience; or extensive management experience and proven management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. This role also required PRINCE2 Practitioner or PRINCE2 Agile qualifications.
