The Opportunity

The Office of Research Grants and Development has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Research Administrative Officer.

The Research Administrative Officer delivers a range of high-level administrative services to the Monash research community related to Award support. The role also undertakes a variety of general administrative duties to meet the operational demands of the Award team. 

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for providing efficient, effective and timely Award administration services to the Monash research community. This involves the initialisation of new research project operations, facilitating variations, processing grant transfers, and ensuring reporting obligations are met. Additionally, you will deliver high-level and effective service to clients, including prompt issues resolution and adherence to privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
