Monash Law – Sessional Teaching Opportunities

Rate of pay: Sessional rates will apply

Work location: Clayton campus and CBD Law Chambers

Monash is committed to the creation of pathways to more secure fixed term and continuing employment, where this is appropriate for the individual situation and work category. There are circumstances where sessional employment will be required, and we will continue to engage and renew sessional academic staff where it is determined to be the most appropriate mode of employment, aligned with the new definition in the Closing Loopholes Act and our job security commitments.

The Faculty of Law is seeking expressions of interest from talented educators to join our sessional teaching cohort for upcoming teaching periods. These opportunities are ideal for individuals with a background in legal education, professional legal practice, or academic work who are passionate about supporting the next generation of Monash Law students.

Sessional staff contribute to high quality learning through tutorials, workshops, seminars, marking, and student support across a range of law units in the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Juris Doctor (JD) courses. We welcome applications from those with experience in all areas of the law.

If you wish to be considered for sessional academic work, please submit an EOI via the Apply button below.

Please note that submitting an EOI does not guarantee an offer of sessional work. You will receive a confirmation message upon submission of your EOI, and will be contacted if sessional work becomes available that aligns with your teaching interests, experience, background and availability.

We look forward to receiving your EOI.
