Our Crew Planning Team in Hexham are seeking applications from suitability qualified candidates who would like to join their team. The crew resource specialist role works within our rostering team based in Hexham which provides critical operational rosters to our New South Wales and South-East Queensland operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that has advanced excel skills and is a quick learner to express their interest in joining this professional, focused yet fun team environment.
About the role:
- Ensure resources and schedules are prepared in accordance with operational requirements, enterprise agreements, and safety regulations
- Participate in creating and managing Master, Forecast and Daily rosters,
- Perform and assist the wider team in maximising efficiency and meeting collaborative deadlines and targets,
- Assist teams with changes to service plans, asset loading, resource allocations, customer requirements and the impact of major disruptions,
- Be accountable for preparing all relevant rosters for crews with sufficient timing and accuracy,
- Be responsible for ensuring that competent employees with the appropriate operational knowledge are placed on rosters,
- Monitor and arrange for the deployment of crews to meet operational demands at locations as required,
About you:
- A dedicated team player with a focus on attention to detail,
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment,
- Ability to engage and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers,
- Ability to interpret and utilise data for the optimisation of business processes and deployment opportunities,
- Ability to work weekends on a rotating 7-day roster (day shift only),
- Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills,
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft suite, with the ability to quickly adapt and learn rostering software
- Ability to understand people-related challenges and their impact on the business
- Ability to reach agreement and consensus despite differing goals and priorities.
- Experience with rostering, logistics or rail would be well regarded however not essential,
