About the role:

 We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance Partnering Coal division. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial oversight and governance, ensuring the sound financial standing of our operations.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Monitoring functional outcomes and financial performance indicators.
  • Providing guidance and support on financial matters such as budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Implementing and improving financial models, systems, and processes to optimize fiscal management.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve strategic financial objectives.
  • Willing to engage in end-to-end finance tasks including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliation, and purchase order creation. We believe in a collaborative work environment where every team member contributes to the success of the organisation at all levels.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in a finance-related discipline (mandatory)
  • Certification as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Chartered Management Accountant (CMA) (mandatory).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar financial support role.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting concepts, practices and systems (including SAP and Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and present practical financial information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
