Tenure Track Faculty - Film Production in Sacramento
The Film Program at Sacramento State University seeks an Assistant Professor who specializes in contemporary approaches to narrative and/or documentary filmmaking, with an emphasis on short film storytelling. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching production-centered content in the areas of directing, producing, editing and screenwriting and have a creative practice based in contemporary approaches to production. Candidates must show evidence of exhibition and distribution, having promoted their work in film festivals, online streaming platforms, and/or broadcast. Candidates must be dedicated to teaching in a university that serves a highly diverse student body, be committed to working closely with colleagues in the College of Arts and Letters and be intent on forging collaborative relationships across disciplines and in the community. It is expected that candidates have earned an MFA or equivalent terminal degree in the arts by August 2025. Senior Investigator in East Bay
The Senior Investigator serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, conducting intakes and investigations as they relate to discrimination, harassment, (including sexual misconduct) and retaliation. The Senior Investigator ensures compliance with Title IX, Title VI, the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy, the CSU Interim Nondiscrimination Policy, applicable CSU Executive Orders, the Violence Against Women Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. The incumbent will conduct interviews, compile data, interpret and analyze the facts, and provide written notices and investigation reports in a thorough and timely manner. The incumbent will employ dispute resolution, mediation, and problem-solving techniques to resolve issues on an informal basis consistent with the applicable CSU Policy. The incumbent will provide leadership for programming and education to prevent sexual misconduct and hostile environment issues, and serve on multidisciplinary committees that serve campus constituents. The incumbent may provide testimony regarding cases to outside agencies, provide advice and guidance to campus constituents, and interact with the CSU Office of the Chancellor, General Counsel, Civil Rights Attorney, Systemwide Director, Administrators, and colleagues at campuses within the CSU System. The Senior Investigator works independently and as a member of the Civil Rights Office team.

The Campus Life Coordinator provides lead work direction to student staff living in the dorms (Independent Living Coaches), collaborates with campus housing and disability support offices, and ensures students are equipped with the skills needed to live independently, access campus resources, and engage socially. The Campus Life Coordinator will also work collaboratively with other program support personnel to foster student autonomy and help them connect with relevant activities, clubs, and events that place on campus.
