      Lecturer Pool Social Work - AY 2025/2026 in San Marcos

      The department of Social Work at Cal State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.  Applications in this pool ad will only be good for the current academic year. Additionally, this role involves active participation in the development and execution of policies and strategic planning in the advising sphere, all aimed at promoting the success, persistence, and timely graduation of students within their specific college or department. This position is a team member of the College of Science’s (CSCI) Student Service Center and will work closely with the coordinator of the CSCI student service center in training new colleagues (SSP advisors), facilitating transfer orientation, and facilitating group advising/workshops, and supporting new freshman and transfer students and may visit first-year classes for such purposes. Advising at the Concord Center or representation at events held at other institutions may at times be required.
