    The Academic Office Coordinator is the most essential administrative staff position in a fast paced, academic department, responsible for scheduling classes, hiring lecturers and GTAs, assisting with budget management as well as the management of the department office and events. This lead role provides key administrative support to department faculty, staff and students, and is invaluable to help the department’s students to move efficiently towards graduation. This position oversees administrative aspects of the programs offered by the Chemistry & Biochemistry department, including tracking and analyzing enrollment and classroom utilization for the class schedule, student scholarships and stipend management, temporary faculty evaluations, coordination of the student assistant and instructional budget, coordination of training for office staff and student assistants on academic and department policies, procedures and requirements and various other projects, reports and department events.

    Teaching Associate will teach one or more 2-unit lab section(s) of PSYC 3311. This position involves preparing a syllabus and assignments, creating lessons and class activities, attending class weekly for the duration of the semester, grading assignments, holding weekly office hours, and responding to student communication in a timely manner. Teaching Associates will also work closely with the full-time faculty members teaching the 3-unit lecture portion of the class to make sure the lecture and lab coincide.
