      The Languages and Cultures Department in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. The department offers courses in multiple languages, area studies, and general education at the undergraduate level and in second language acquisition at the graduate level. We especially welcome applications from qualified candidates to teach Japanese and Korean language classes. See the department description and course catalog for specific courses offered. We are primarily seeking instructors to teach in person, but we are gradually expanding online offerings. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

      Located in beautiful North County San Diego, the School of Nursing at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) invites applications for a Director of Nursing faculty position, with the appointment beginning in Fall 2026. The School of Nursing at CSUSM offers Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in nursing. Three pathways lead to the BSN: a traditional 4-year program, an accelerated 5-semester program, and a fully online ADN/RN to BSN program for students in community college nursing programs, or practicing RNs who hold an ADN and wish to earn a BSN. The MSN program prepares students for a career as a family nurse practitioner or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
