In addition to one-on-one support, coaches promote campus resources and events, facilitate study tables and first-year programs, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment for new students.

      The College of Engineering and Technology at Ferris State University seeks a diverse group of outstanding applicants for a full-time, tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Architecture & Facility Management position. Applicants with specific expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: teaching a systems integration studio; BIM software, specifically Revit; architectural detailing, construction materials, and/or advanced building systems; and sustainable design. Preference will be given to candidates who show an interest in and aptitude for marketing an academic program through online advertising campaigns, social media, high school and community college visits, summer camps, or other appropriate channels. Teaching may include undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates are expected to foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, faculty are expected to be student-oriented, advise, and integrate current technology into the learning environment. Additionally, faculty will participate in collaborative efforts to foster curricular efforts, participate in assessment of student learning, and further develop programmatic enhancement. Off-campus and online teaching may be required. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Tenure awarded at a previous institution is required to be hired at the rank of Associate Professor. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2026 at the earliest and January of 2027 at the latest.

    • Academic Advisor, Assistant Professor in Big Rapids, MI 49307

      The Academic Advisor, Assistant Ranking will provide academic advising within the School of Education in the College of Arts, Sciences and Education, including assisting students with the development of academic plans and course schedules, advising on academic program changes, and meeting with prospective students and their families. Other duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with summer orientation and registration, responding to inquiries regarding programs, and maintaining timely communication with students. The anticipated start date of this position is May 2026. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. At least one year of relevant experience, preferably in a higher education setting with student support assignment.

      Position responsibilities will include teaching A.A.S. and B.S. courses in an ABET-accredited surveying engineering program. Courses may include topics such as GIS, photogrammetry, surveying principles and adjustments, legal aspects, engineering ethics, etc. Work with fellow faculty members in the advancement of the Surveying curriculum. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in field or closely related field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR A master’s or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor’s or associate’s degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR A bachelor’s degree in field and 10 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught. Professional Surveyors License (current or expired but not revoked).
