Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Social and Administrative Pharmacy (12 mos. Tenure-track) in Multiple Locations
This is a tenure-track, 12-month position for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Social and Administrative Pharmacy in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. We encourage individuals with a strong commitment to student-centered education and the teacher/scholar model to apply. Teaching responsibilities will include core courses in pharmacy administration at both the Big Rapids and Grand Rapids campuses. Candidates will also be expected to provide academic support and coordinate team-taught courses. Additionally, the successful candidate may teach an elective course in their area of expertise. Engagement in individual or collaborative research projects, as well as scholarship involving student participation, will complement teaching responsibilities. Other duties will include contributing to the department, college, university, and profession through participation on committees, as well as providing professional advice and mentoring to students. Ongoing professional development will also be expected. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Tenure awarded at a previous institution is required to be hired at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The anticipated start date of this position is immediate.

Ferris State University seeks qualified candidates to teach part-time in the Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) program. Instruction occurs on campus, at off-campus locations, and online. Course Assignment: IDSL 840 Qualitative Research Methods and Data Analysis. Addresses foundational principles of methods of qualitative inquiry, with emphasis on ensuring ethical standards, establishing assumptions and limitations for a study, developing appropriate research questions and approach, and designing effective data collection methods. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Applications will be retained until vacancies arise, at which time qualified candidates may be contacted. This posting is for a 7 ½ week mixed delivery course – typically one face-to-face weekend (either in Michigan or Houston, Texas) followed by online instruction. The candidate(s) must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment and the duration of time performing services for Ferris State University. Please note, if you relocate after being hired to a state not listed above, your employment with Ferris will not continue. The anticipated start date of this position is March 2026 at the earliest and August 2026 at the latest. Required: Earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, or JD) in a discipline relevant to community college leadership. Significant administrative experience in a community college or relevant subject-matter expertise (e.g., qualitative research design, program evaluation, higher education assessment, or leadership research methods). Applicants must demonstrate substantial leadership or administrative experience at the mid- to senior level within a community college or comparable higher education institution, along with documented teaching experience in higher education.

The College of Arts, Sciences and Education seeks applicants for a Secretary Level 2. This position will support the delivery of academic functions within the college and provide primary support in the Social Work Department. The position will follow established college/departmental policies and procedures. The anticipated start date of this position is November 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent such as military technical training or business/technical schooling. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of work experience equals one year of education.
