      The Academic Advisor, Assistant Ranking will provide academic advising for majors in University College that will include assisting students in the development of academic plans and course schedules, advising on academic program changes and meeting with prospective students and their families. Other duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with summer orientation and registration, responding to inquiries regarding programs, and maintaining timely communication with students. Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.       The College of Arts, Sciences and Education seeks applications for a Secretary level 2. This position provides responsible, independent secretarial support within established departmental policies and procedures in the College of Arts, Sciences and Education. The anticipated start date for this position is August 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent such as military technical training or business/technical schooling. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of full-time related work experience equals one year of education.       Work independently and under minimal supervision to implement and coordinate the operations of the Enrollment Services e-communication software system and any other assigned computerized system(s) that may be used in Enrollment Services. Serves as the liaison with the software company to implement and make revisions to the software.     • 4S Program Coordinator in Big Rapids, MI 49307

      The Program Coordinator for Select Student Support Services (4S) serves as the primary liaison for the Determined Dawgs Scholar Academy (DDSA). DDSA is a selective, four-week summer bridge program designed to support conditionally admitted freshmen in their transition to Ferris State University. The program primarily serves students who may be the first in their family to attend college, require additional academic support, or come from under-resourced communities. In this role, the coordinator facilitates communication and collaboration among program staff, university departments, and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to student success. Responsibilities include overseeing program evaluation, managing data collection and reporting, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The coordinator reports to the Coordinator of Student Success Initiatives. This is a temporary, grant funded position set to end on September 30th, 2029, with a possibility of renewal/continuation determined by continuation of the grant. The anticipated start date is August 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field. Evidenced experience in program coordination, project management, or student support services within higher education.
