The Residence Life Coordinator is responsible for directing the daily operation of a Housing area (multiple residence halls and/or campus apartments). The essential functions of the position include community building, programming, crisis response, student conduct, selection, training and supervision of 1-2 Graduate Assistants and undergraduate staff members (Resident Assistants and Student Desk Assistants), and coordination of Living-Learning Communities. The Coordinator could potentially serve as the advisor to a departmental organization such as the Residence Hall Association and/or provide oversight to process committees such as training, recruitment and hiring, and transition/move-in. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for the physical management of the facilities in their area and works closely with the maintenance and custodial staff. During the summer, this position also serves the department in working with either Camps and Conferences, Orientation, or Summer Student Housing. This position has a live on requirement and provides support and assistance to students through serving in a campus wide duty rotation. This position works in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Residence Life. |

The Associate Dean serves as the chief conduct officer and is responsible for the overall administration of the student disciplinary system, overseeing behavioral and academic misconduct procedures and cases. Additionally, the Associate Dean provides overall supervision and direction to the staff in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. This individual serves on the leadership team of the Dean of Students Office and as such will serve the university in various capacities related to students. This individual will need to be committed to a non-adversarial, educational, and learning-based conduct philosophy and ensure that all educational programs, sanctions and hearings reinforce the overall concept of student development. Responsible for managing heavy caseload of approximately 300 or more cases per year.
