The responsibilities of the Research Assistant are research-related. Research
Assistants provide professional-level support related to research and creative activities that contribute to the mission of the department, under direct supervision by the chair.
Examples of responsibilities:
Serves in a research capacity for a specified department or project within the university, which may include the following duties and responsibilities:
• Performs tasks related to specific function/program assigned
• Assumes responsibilities and assists faculty members in research and creative activities for a designated research area
• Develops work plans in accordance with research objectives
• Assists in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data and/or research findings
• Assists with development and evaluation of materials related to the scope of the research project
• Assists in specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connected to research and creative activities
• Prepares reports as needed
• Supervises/coordinates participants for data collection
• Supervises/coordinates scoring of project data
• Completes other tasks as assigned by the principal investigator(s)
• Works on supporting ongoing research grants and assisting faculty with developing new grant applications. |

Instructors with experience in Introductory Biology I or II, Anatomy & Physiology, Cell & Molecular Biology, Genetics, Marine Biology & Oceanography, and Zoology are particularly needed.

Reporting to the director of enrollment marketing and communication, the coordinator will play a key role in executing recruitment messaging, with a focus on email and text communications via Slate CRM and the Mainstay chatbot, as well as the maintenance of Slate Deliver queries and the Mainstay Knowledge Base. The coordinator will also update websites and develop other copy as needed. This position involves project management, quality control, and customer service.
Essential functions the coordinator will perform are: determine projects' scope of work in order to meet departmental and enrollment objectives; produce recruitment, yield, and enrollment content; communicate effectively with stakeholders on all projects and keep detailed project records with the Jira ticketing system; produce error-free deliverables in a timely manner and in compliance with University and campaign-specific standards; review projects as requested for quality and compliance approval. |

Art Lab Technicians in the Department of Art & Design support the operation and maintenance of various specialized lab spaces including the wood shop, metal shop, spray booth, ceramics studio, photography lab, and printmaking lab. These roles are essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment for students and faculty. Responsibilities include assisting with equipment use, monitoring safety standards, organizing supplies, maintaining inventory, and providing general housekeeping for assigned studio areas. Lab technicians also help students with access to tools and spaces, and may be assigned specific tasks or projects by faculty or staff. |
