|Job Summary:||The Associate Director for the School of Nursing provides leadership to ensure students have a positive learning experience that results in competent professionals who will fill the local and regional workforce needs. The Associate Director will engage the faculty in continuous improvement planning which includes development, implementation and evaluation of all instructional systems consistent with the School philosophy and CCNE accreditation standards. The Associate Director will also be responsible for overseeing the student success function of the School of Nursing, which includes student preparation for national certifying examinations. Coordinates all School of Nursing (SON) assessment and evaluation functions; oversees processes associated with curriculum assessment and evaluation; and manages program outcomes evaluation processes for the SON.|
|Minimum Qualifications:||Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, clinical supervision/direction, and service.|
|Position Qualifications:||The minimum qualifications are a doctorate from an accredited institution, with a BSN or MSN degree. The position requires that the candidate has an unencumbered nursing license in the State of Florida or is eligible for licensure in Florida. Prior successful experience in a leadership role with CCNE accreditation at the bachelor’s and master’s degree levels is required. Five years nursing faculty experience at a CCNE accredited institution. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in curriculum development, assessment and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines. Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to interact professionally with others.|
|Preferred Qualifications||A doctoral degree, from an accredited institution, in education or nursing education with a focus on curriculum and instructional design is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership ability in Nursing education. Additionally, experience with implementing continuous quality improvements processes for academic outcomes and experience with NCLEX preparation is desired.|
