Working Title:  Access to Capital Director
Job Summary: Lead a team of access to capital professionals who work with senior management to coordinate access to capital assistance, loan application preparation, debt to equity investment and sales growth to small businesses.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the statewide access to capital services program, including: development of tools and instructional guides for both Florida small businesses and network internal processes.
Facilitation of statewide best practices and relationship management with external parties.
Work directly with consultants assisting small business clients with accessing capital.
Be the subject matter expert for access to capital.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience: or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
Position Qualifications: Candidate must have an in-depth understanding of access to capital frameworks, best practices and small business operation practices. Specific expertise should include:
A strong understanding of access to capital assistance, loan application preparation, loans, debt and equity investment and sales growth to small businesses.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation documentation and reporting.
Highly developed relationship management, influencing, team and leadership skills.
Computer software proficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
Experience of 5 or more years in business management or business consulting can compensate for educational degree equipment.
Significant knowledge of entrepreneurship, small-business management and operations, business financing, financial analysis and accounting, marketing, market research, human resource management.
Effective access to capital strategies
Preferred Qualifications Professionally recognized certifications in a related field, such as the NDC Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) Certification Program.
Master's Degree in related field.
Essential Functions / Job Duties:
  • 15% - Develops educational materials and presents educational programs for internal and external stakeholders. - (Essential)

  • 25% - Contribute to the development and maintenance of the statewide access to capital services program, including: development of tools and instruction guides for both Florida small businesses and network internal processes - (Essential)

  • 5% - Participate in external access to capital and equity investment management organizations and keep abreast of industry best practices and trends. - (Essential)
