Working Title:  UKCOH Internship Coordinator
Job Summary: This position supports the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health (UKCOH) by providing internship administrative support to five UKCOH departments (Health Sciences and Administration, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Movement Sciences and Health, Public Health, Psychology).

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Essential Functions / Job Duties:
  • 20% - • Communicates with other UKCOH department, college, and University units to facilitate efficient and effective internship coordination for students. • Communicates with UKCOH Academic Advisors to facilitate efficient and effective internship coordination for students. • Communicates with the UKCOH Affiliation Agreement Coordinator to facilitate efficient and effective internship coordination for students. - (Essential)
  • 20% - • Maintains extensive knowledge of UKCOH CCR and accreditation (if pertinent) requirements regarding internships for undergraduate and graduate programs for each department. • Develops and/or updates internship manuals for UKCOH departments. - (Essential)
  • 10% - • Serves as a liaison between internship site and UKCOH department or program. • Monitors, evaluates, and maintains existing internship relationships and develop additional internship opportunities for students. - (Essential)
  • 50% - • Meets with students (in person, phone, electronically) to assist with internship onboarding requirements (e.g., resume, interviews, forms, background checks, CPR, immunization). • Assembles, monitors, and maintains files for each internship student in preparation for the internship (e.g., onboarding requirements, placements, assignments, hours). - (Essential)

  • Physical Requirements: Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely results would be cuts, bruises, etc.
  • Impact of Deadlines: Routine deadlines. Usually sufficient lead time. Variance in work volume, seasonal, and predictable. Priorities can be anticipated. Some interruptions are present. Involves occasional exposure to demands/pressures from persons other than immediate sup.
