About us and the role.

We understand that this is a unique role, the specialisms listed below will not be commonplace.  However, we want to use the role as a pathway for the right person to become a machine vision expert.

Our team designs and develops revolutionary manufacturing processes that simply cannot be bought off-the-shelf. This gives us an edge in completion and in turn, this gives a group of Automation Engineers an incredible opportunity to design, build, and commission special purpose machines from the ground up, from an initial scribble in the back of notebook to a fully-fledged production machine.

The role is for an expert in Machine Vision, an essential capability for in-process validation and enhancing precision in Robotics and other kinematics machines. We typically use Cognex, Beckhoff Vision, Keynece systems, and if you can stretch their capabilities, we’ll want to hear from you.

You’ll be working in a multi-faceted Automation team, alongside incredibly talented and passionate people.  You’ll be responsible for the design, development and validation of yours and existing vision tools to ensure they’re robust in production. Ensuring the meticulously engineered Power Units are manufactured and assembled with precision, without fault, and with great repeatability.  Upholding the highest quality standards.  You’ll also have an opportunity to specify the right technology needed for any particular task.  In addition to ensuring we stay abreast of any emerging technologies.

You’ll be working around the internal combustion engine, electric machines, and batteries.

What do we need from you?

We’re looking for someone with creativity, drive, rigor, and excitement to assure extraordinary work. Ready to play a part in motorsport history and our journey to excel in endeavours towards the 2026 F1 Power Unit regulation change.  Pushing the art of the possible towards our future success.

Additional requirements include:

  • Curious, tenacious, and driven with a hunger to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • BEng or above in some form of relevant degree.
  • A history in Computer Science.
  • A strong academic background to take a scientific and systematic approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and creative.
  • Excellent understanding of automation and manufacturing processes.
  • The courage to challenge and desire to be challenged, to expand your technical knowledge and skills.
  • Desirable - A minimum of 3-5 years of industrial experience.

If you thrive in high-performance environments and want to help shape the future of motorsport automation, apply now and be part of our journey.
