About the role
In this position, you will deliver efficient administrative support to Building Services and maintain top-quality customer service.
Work type: Fixed term contract (14 months)
Classification: Band 4, $73,796 + super
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver proactive and seamless customer service by providing up-to-date advisory services and expertise.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment, performing various duties to meet the unit's workload.
- Efficiently manage enquiries and correspondence in line with regulations and policies.
- Complete building application lodgements and maintenance of record keeping systems for the unit.
- Maintain high ethical standards, confidentiality, and strong team relationships across all Council functions.
About you
To be successful in this role you will hold a Certificate IV in Business Administration or at least 3 years of office-based, customer-facing experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines are essential.
Essential Experience:
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret the building related legislation and regulation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and documentation.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and database management.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and problem solve.
- Ability to adapt and embrace process change and innovation
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
