The City of Greater Geelong is a vibrant growing city, with over 250,000 residents and annual revenue of over $480M. Already one of Australia’s largest Councils, now one of the fastest growing, the City is busy planning to welcome another 150,000 people by 2036.

Geelong is Australia’s first recognised UNESCO City of Design built on a rich heritage of design, manufacturing and innovation. With fantastic schools, sporting facilities and Victoria’s best beaches on your doorstep, Geelong is a highly desirable lifestyle destination.

Leading the Urban Design and Heritage team, you will act as a design champion for the organisation. You will advocate of and drive high standards of urban design outcomes in the private and public realm across a range of settings, including major infill redevelopments, greenfield and central city regeneration.

Working within a values-based culture, you will demonstrate emotional maturity, supportive leadership and display significant urban design expertise. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in realising the community’s clever and creative vision.

This is a high-profile appointment that will give you the opportunity to collaborate with executives, elected Members, State and Federal Government, industry and key community groups to help shape the future of Greater Geelong.
